FAQs

What is River?

River is a small floating pin that sits on top of any web page. Drag it onto a message or email and it explains, in plain English, what the sender really means, their tone, and how to reply.

How do I use it?

Drag River's pin and drop it on a text message or an email. The message extends and River streams his analysis right there. Click anywhere else and he tucks back onto his icon.

What happens if I drop River somewhere that isn't a message?

Nothing is analysed and no credit is used. River only opens on text messages and emails, so he stays put and shows a short hint.

What counts as a credit?

1 credit = 1 message analysis. A credit is only used when River actually analyses something, and it's returned automatically if an analysis fails.

How much does it cost?

Free: 15 credits, one-off, no payment needed. Mid usage: 500 credits for £6.99 a month. High usage: 2,000 credits for £19.99 a month.

Do I need to create an account or log in?

No. Free users get started straight away. If you buy a plan we only ask for your full name and email at checkout, and River links to your browser automatically once you've paid.

How does River know I've paid?

After checkout you land back on trycurrently.com and the extension picks up your plan on its own. If you use another browser or device, install River there and open trycurrently.com once after paying.

How do I see my credits or cancel?

Double-click River's pin. A small panel shows credits left, credits used, your renewal date, and a Cancel subscription button.

What happens when I cancel?

Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then stops renewing. You can resume from the same panel before it ends.

What happens when I run out of credits?

River tells you and stops analysing. Paid plans refill with fresh credits each billing month. On the free tier you can upgrade to keep going.

Do unused credits roll over?

No. Paid credits refresh every month and don't carry over.

Is my data private?

Messages are sent securely to River's servers only when you drop him on one, analysed by an AI model, and streamed back. We don't store the text of your messages. We keep only your name, email, plan and credit balance.

Does River read everything on my screen?

No. He only reads the single message you drop him on, at the moment you drop him. Nothing is read in the background.

Which sites does it work on?

Web-based chat and email: for example Gmail, Outlook on the web, LinkedIn, Slack, WhatsApp Web and most other pages with text messages. River works in the browser only, so he can't float over desktop apps.

Which browsers are supported?

Chrome and other Chromium browsers such as Edge, Brave and Arc.

Is River always on top of the page?

Yes. He floats above the page content and never goes behind other elements. You can drag him anywhere.

How accurate is the analysis?

River reads tone and intent from the words in front of him, so treat it as a smart second opinion, not a certainty. It works best with the full message, and you know the relationship better than he does.

How do updates work?

The website updates instantly for everyone. The extension updates itself in the background whenever a new version is released.

Is payment secure?

Yes. Payments are handled by Stripe. River never sees or stores your card details.

How do I get a refund or contact support?

Email us at [email protected] and we'll sort it out.
